Congrats to our SV Band for receiving a Silver rating and ranking first overall in their class at the North Schuylkill Tournament of Bands Competition.
For the second year in a row Mr. John Shoener, Shenandoah Valley High School Music Instructor & Director of Bands was selected to receive the Peter R. Marsh Foundation Award for staging musical performances specifically aimed at the community’s adult population. As a result of his selection the SV Music Department was awarded a Music Grant consisting of $1,000 that will be used to promote various activities sponsored by the school’s music department and provide students with the opportunity to showcase their musical talents. Congratulations to the SV students selected to participate in the 2023 Schuylkill County Chorus

The students are Toby Gudinas, Valeria Hernandez, George Lopez and Jesus Paniagua Perez. The concert will be held on March 18th at the Tamaqua Area High School under the direction of Guest Conductor Dr. Mark Mecham Professor Emeritus from Lebanon Valley College.
