Congratulations to the 14 SV Band students who were successfully selected for the 2024 Jr. Schuylkill County Band Festival to be held March 12, 14, 15, and 16 at Shenandoah Valley High School. Ellie Miscannon, Trista Karosas, Itzamar Arias Olguin, Guadalupe Gutierrez Zamudio, Gia Lukashunas, Breonna Zelinsky, Zacharia Kropp, Colin Neidlinger, Kaylee Arbushites, Chloe Arias, Evan Czerny, Jesieliz Cruz Ortiz, Victoria Nork, Alex Daubert. Great job!
For the second year in a row Mr. John Shoener, Shenandoah Valley High School Music Instructor & Director of Bands was selected to receive the Peter R. Marsh Foundation Award for staging musical performances specifically aimed at the community’s adult population. As a result of his selection the SV Music Department was awarded a Music Grant consisting of $1,000 that will be used to promote various activities sponsored by the school’s music department and provide students with the opportunity to showcase their musical talents. Congratulations to the SV students selected to participate in the 2023 Schuylkill County Chorus
Shown L-R is SV Music Director Mr. John Shoener posing with the four members of the Shenandoah Valley Chorus who were selected to perform with the Schuylkill County Chorus. The students are Toby Gudinas, Valeria Hernandez, George Lopez and Jesus Paniagua Perez. The concert will be held on March 18th at the Tamaqua Area High School under the direction of Guest Conductor Dr. Mark Mecham Professor Emeritus from Lebanon Valley College.
